Each day you get up and wonder, \u201cAm I living the life I want?\u201d It\u2019s a good question, possibly the best question you could ask yourself.<\/p>\n

After all, you don\u2019t want to wake up years from now only to realize that you\u2019re disappointed with not only what you did, but also what you DIDN\u2019T do in life.<\/p>\n

The question is \u2013 is there a way to make sure that you do live the life you want? Is there a way to make sure you expose yourself to all the things life has to offer so that you can give this life all that you have to offer?<\/p>\n

There is, and all it takes are a few smart habits to do it. You lack the proper habits.<\/p>\n

All of us have habits, some of which are good and some of which are bad\/useless. Your problem is that you don\u2019t have the \u201cproper\u201d good ones, the ones that make all the difference in life. You never questioned your habits and purpose.<\/p>\n

If you plan on living a happy and fulfilling life, then you need two things<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

  1. Reflection<\/li>\n
  2. Action<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You need to think about what your life is like and what you\u2019d like out of it, and you also need to take action on those thoughts, that\u2019s the simple formula to satisfaction in life<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    But what habits can get you those things?<\/p>\n

    Best habits to have<\/h2>\n

    The best habits are the ones that combine self-examination and action together, but in general having habits that force you to:<\/p>\n

    1. Self-reflect<\/li>\n
    2. Expose yourself to new people and places<\/li>\n
    3. Take consistent action<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u2026are the best ones when it comes to fulfilling life. Take a look and find out why.<\/p>\n

      1. Journal regularly<\/h4>\n

      Journaling\u00a0is the perfect tool for understanding yourself. It can be both focused and intentional, such as when you write about your goals and the steps to get there, or it can be carefree and emotional, such as when you free write and don\u2019t stop to censor your thoughts.<\/p>\n

      Either way, journaling\u00a0is perfect for those of you who feel like you go day by day automatically, never stopping to ask yourself \u201cis this really what I want for myself?\u201d<\/p>\n

      2. Meet new people and travel<\/h4>\n

      One of the best ways of learning about who you are and what you want is by exposing yourself to new people and places.<\/p>\n

      When you meet new people<\/a>, you learn about how your presence impacts them. Their reactions can tell you if you\u2019re a happy or sad person, nice or mean, open or close-minded, and so on.<\/p>\n

      Traveling is perfect for this purpose, but it also has the added benefit of exposing the mind to new cultures and customs. Traveling gives you a greater sense of the world and your place in it<\/strong>, which refines your worldview for the better.<\/p>\n

      3. Try out new activities<\/h4>\n

      Following up on the \u201cexpose yourself to new people and places<\/em>\u201d idea, new activities<\/strong> also helps.<\/p>\n

      How so? For the simple idea of seeing if you like different things. That\u2019s all. It\u2019s the only reason you really need, and if you\u2019re lucky, that one new thing you try might be your favorite thing in the world. It might be that one thing you want to do for the rest of your life, and you don\u2019t want to miss out on it.<\/p>\n

      4. Work towards a personal goal<\/h4>\n

      The quickest way to feeling worthless in life is to have nothing to strive for, nothing to exert your energy towards. Ever feel that way, like life is meaningless? Then this tip is for you.<\/p>\n

      It doesn\u2019t need to be some big, life-altering goal either. It just needs to be something that brings you genuine satisfaction. Something that when you look back on it, it brings a smile to your face and makes you feel good inside.<\/p>\n

      5. Master productivity<\/h4>\n

      Want to know the one thing that makes all of this possible? The one thing that without, you don\u2019t even have the time or energy to integrate newer and better habits<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

      It\u2019s productivity. The truth is that if you can\u2019t manage to do what you want when you need to, then you can\u2019t truly accomplish anything in life. Productivity is important.<\/p>\n

      The work that you accomplish and don\u2019t accomplish directly affects your life outside of work. The better you are at it, the more time you have for life\u2019s other offerings, such as family time and other things.<\/p>\n

      And just as important is being productive about what matters in life, because who among us hasn\u2019t procrastinated on that novel we want to write or on going to the gym and earning the body we want? Like most of you, I have. But I didn\u2019t let it stop me.<\/p>\n
