Learning how to challenge your negative thinking takes time. Be patient and forgiving of yourself. Focusing on your strengths is also a good way to deal with it.
You can identify one of your best traits and find a new way to use it every day for a week. As Joel Osteen said:
When the negative thoughts come – and they will; they come to all of us – it’s not enough to just not dwell on it… You’ve got to replace it with a positive thought.
Although negative thoughts are normal, going over and over them in your head – what scientists call “rumination” – leads to increased anxiety, depression and a sense of happiness.
Enjoy it!!
