1. Vinegar (Natural and Apple Cider Vinegar)
An excellent remedy for excessive sweating is drinking a solution that is one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with 2 teaspoons of natural vinegar. This is best taken either on an empty stomach, or at least half an hour before or after you eat a meal.
2. Tomato Juice
Excessive sweating can be successfully treated by drinking a glass of freshly prepared tomato juice every day.
3. Herbal Teas
Herbal teas, Sage tea, in particular, is a well-known treatment for excessive sweating. You can make this healthy remedy by brewing some fresh sage herbs in warm water and then allowing them some time to cool down.
Sage is high in Vitamin B and magnesium, both of which are known to help decrease sweat gland activity. Drinking Sage tea every day will, therefore, help reduce and treat excessive levels of sweating, particularly if you are affected in your underarms.
An equally effective solution is Green tea, which may be a solution if you cannot get your hands on Sage herbs.
Potatoes are probably the easiest and most readily available natural treatment for excessive sweating. Cut potatoes into slices and use them to rub the areas with excessive levels of sweating, such as under your arms.
5. Witch Hazel
Witch Hazel is renowned for its antiperspirant and astringent properties and therefore helps to dry up areas where excessive sweating occurs. You can use Witch Hazel to make a tea if you would prefer to take it that way.
6. Baking Soda and Cornstarch
A mixture consisting of baking soda and cornstarch (cornflour) can be used when you are suffering from underarm excessive sweating. After cleaning the area thoroughly, apply the mixture in the problem areas and leave it for at least half an hour.
Then wash it off. Expert tip – add your favorite essential oil to the baking soda/cornflour mixture to act as a natural deodorant.
7. Wheat-grass Juice
Wheat-grass Juice has become incredibly popular in the healthy and clean eating sector. However, it can be used to help treat excessive sweating naturally. Wheat-grass is not only high in Vitamin B12, Folic acid, Vitamin C, protein and Vitamin B6 but also helps to neutralize bodily acids.
8. Tannic Acid
One of the most common sources of Tannic acid is tea. Therefore, steep a few tea bags into some boiling water, and if you suffer from excessive sweating in your palms, you can use this solution. Simply steep your palms in the water until they are completely covered, after it cools down a little.
9. Coconut Oil
You can treat excessive sweating anywhere on your body by combining coconut oil with around 10 grams of camphor and then use it to apply affected areas.
10. Tea Tree Oil
As tea tree oil is full of naturally occurring astringents, it can be used by applying thin layers of it onto areas where you are suffering from excessive levels of sweating. You should see positive results within just a few days of using this remedy.
Grapes help to balance your body’s internal temperature and consist of natural and potent antioxidants. Therefore, eating grapes daily can help treat excessive sweating.
Salt can be used, when mixed with some lime juice, to treat excessive sweating by reducing the activity of the problem glands. Simply massage the mixture over affected areas for successful treatment.
Excessive sweating can be particularly embarrassing and distressing. Still, there is no need to feel like you are helpless to a solution or that you need to have surgery or some other form of disruptive treatment.
