Uplifting Quotes by Bob Marley for an Uplifting Life

I copied some of these quotes in hopes that I could share them with others. My son also utilizes these quotes to inspire him and his journey. While life may be horrific at times, these words can make your day much better.

Let’s enjoy the sage wisdom of this magnificent artist.

1. “When one door is closed, don’t you know, another is open”

Circumstances in life can be so cruel. Sometimes they can be so devastating that a person will want to quit, to give up, but this is never the right solution. The end of a relationship, the death of a loved one, these things means a door has been closed. When it comes to death, the door will remain closed in this material plane.

Take heed, however. When a door is closed in life, a new door will soon open. Sometimes another door opens for us even before the old door closes. It all depends on the particular hardship or change. Change is good, and this is why you always look for the new door that is open to you.

2. “Love the life you live, live the life you love”

Stop wanting more! Unless you want to live the life you love, that is. Yes, this life you want to live doesn’t take riches and gold. Be thankful! Yes, be thankful that you have the blessings that you have now. Love the life you live, love what you have, what you do, and what you achieve, even if it’s simple.

As you love the life you live, you will live the life you love. Over time, these simple things will become great accomplishments and legacies for your children. Happiness is not found in objects or other people. Happiness is found inside yourself, so, you can easily live the life you love while loving the life you live. Think about it.

3. “The road of life is rocky, and you may stumble too. While you point your fingers at me, someone else is judging you.”

Never think that you are above anyone else. Never judge others while holding your head high. Remember, everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Everyone, according to spirituality, has sins they struggle to destroy.

If you are talking high and mighty about yourself while downgrading others, you will stumble, and you will fall….just like anyone else traveling this rocky road of life.

4. “When the root is strong, the fruit is sweet”

You will not know the sweet and wonderful fruit by its leaves or by its branches. Neither will you know the grand nectar by the bulbous girth of its body. You will only know the sweetness of your harvest by the roots which strengthen it. So, to reap the sweetest fruit, you must take good care of the roots.

Look for the root of the problem, there you will find the solution to withered fruits like anger, hatred, bitterness, and strife. You can prune these things away, but they will return if the root is rotten or tainted. Remember this when problems just will not go away and life looks barren and ugly.

5. “Don’t gain the world and lose your soul. Wisdom is better than silver and gold”

The human race strives toward materialistic things. Silver, gold, and other riches are coveted on a daily basis. Even though we know we cannot take these things with us, we still chase after them. Why? It’s as if we are selling our souls for momentary pleasure.

Wisdom, on the other hand, can be continually utilized to help others. To gain wisdom is to gain a true friend of unconditional love. You can learn through schools and through employment, but you cannot gain wisdom in this manner. To be truly wise is to understand what really matters in life. What really matters is so far removed from materialistic gain.

6. “None but ourselves can free our minds”Bob Marley singer

Only you can open your mind to the truth, to understanding, and to all enlightenment. We may look to others for help, but we cannot find what we need from other sources. We have everything we need inside of us, we just have to learn how to tap into this perfect source. This Bob Marley quote on life is a major key to freedom.

7. “Until the end of the world, all whys will be answered, but now, you can only ask”

The truth of this quote is heartbreaking, and yet it offers a certain amount of peace if you look from a different perspective. All our lives, we’ve asked why. “Why did this happen to me?”, “Why did they hurt me?”, and “Why can’t I find happiness?” There are so many questions, but so few answers to these things. That is life.

At the end of your life, you will know why. But until then, you will keep questioning things. It is wise to question, but it is also wise to accept that not everything has an answer. Take this truth, find a way to accept it, and then you will find true peace.

Truly inspirational quotes wake you up!

So, we’re coming in from the cold. We are being warmed and feeling peace seep into our bones. These Bob Marley quotes on life have the ability to free us from mental slavery. They are wise, they are true, and they speak to us from across decades of self-realization.

We can be enlightened and we can start a day worth fighting for. I hope you felt these words in the core of your being. It happens the same way when I listen to “Uprising”, my favorite Bob Marley album.

Something shifts within me and the sun feels a bit warmer as the reggae beat caresses my ears. So, speak his quotes, like a mantra, and let them help you welcome change and growth into this day.

Be blessed.
