Do you want to get rid of spiders? Well, you are not the only one!

The fear of spiders is what is known as arachnophobia and as you guessed, it is common for most people. Of course, some of the bugs are sometimes harmless but this may not convince you enough to relax. Naturally, you look for ways to eliminate spiders and other insects around you and the market is flooded with products that can be used to get rid of them.

Now, the other problem is that most products may contain chemicals that may be harmful to you and this is where organic methods to get rid of spiders turn out palatable.

The beauty is that they are environmentally friendly, they do not pose a threat to you and that is why this article introduces you to some of these natural methods.

1. Citrus

Fruits such as lemons and oranges are citrus and can be best be on eliminating these bugs. Spiders, for example, hate citrus meaning that you can use lemon based oils or rub some orange/lemon peels on the surfaces and places they hide.

2. Cedar

Spiders and moths are notorious for invading shelves and closets owing to the darkness in such places. They can be eliminated by using cedar blocks or cedar hangers which will work effectively to ensure no bugs raid your clothes and closets again!

3. White Vinegar

This is one of the most important and widely used in the house. It has so many uses around and is can be your best friend at keeping mosquitoes and ants away.

Mix one part of vinegar and two parts water in a spray bottle and spray it around the house for clean, fresh and bug-free surrounding.

4. Peppermint Essential Oils

The mint in peppermint is loved by many but hated by spiders. To make a unique peppermint repellent, mix drops of these oils with water and liquid soap. Shake the mixture and spray around the house especially in those places where spiders hide.

5. Tree Nuts

These tree nuts such as chestnuts and walnuts contain a chemical that spiders and other insects detest. Just place several tree nuts where spiders love having their party and you will not see them any longer.

Try these natural bug repellants and see how they work for you. Nevertheless, keep in mind that the best way to keep your home spider-free is to keep it as clean as possible. Sweep and vacuum floors as well as cabinets and shelves to get rid of any bugs that might be hiding there.

Occasionally, clean the backyard and balcony too. Look out for any gaps in the windows or doors and seal them. In other words, cleanliness coupled with the natural repellents will keep you bug-free!

    Spiders also hate eucalyptus leaves due to the aroma it gives off.
