Apple Cider Vinegar is one of those things that most of us will have in our cupboard for a recipe we made ages ago, and we haven’t used it since.

But you should! Apple Cider Vinegar has so many amazing uses, from skin, to hair to digestion and for our feline friends.

Here are 10 Uses for Apple Cider Vinegar

1. Fade Bruises

Apple Cider Vinegar is really great for helping reduce those pesky bruises that suddenly appear. It has anti -inflammatory properties which helps reduce the tint on the skin.

2. Dandruff Scalp

Apple Cider Vinegar can adjust the PH, so its great if you suffer from a flaky scalp. Dandruff is caused by yeast growth on the scalp, which is one of the main causes of dandruff. Take 2 tablespoons of vinegar into a glass of water, and rinse your hair and scalp.

3. Pets Flea Free

If you don’t like the idea of dousing your pets in chemicals to treat their fleas, try apple cider vinegar. Dilute the vinegar down with 1 part water and rub the mixture into their fur and skin.

4. Deodorize Your Feet

If you are suffering in the heat with pongy feet, try dipping some apple cider vinegar in tissue and wipe your feet and toes down. The vinegar helps balance PH by combatting the bacteria found on your feet.

5. Post Shaving

Your skin takes a little battering once you have shaved, so mix 1 part water with 1 part ACV and pat onto the skin after you have shaved and don’t worry, the smell is dissipate in time.

6. Soothe An Upset Stomach

This stuff is great for soothing any sort of upset stomach (food poisoning, bloated, constipation). You can thank the antibacterial and antiviral properties that are found in the vinegar.

7. Natural Deodorant

Natural deodorants are becoming more and more popular as of late, and you can substitute your normal deodorant for ACV. Using a baby wipe with some vinegar on it, just wipe under your armpits to combat the bacteria that causes odor.

8. Hiccups

If you are suffering from hiccups (they can be painful) then try swallowing 2 tables of undiluted apple cider vinegar.

9. Digestion

Sufferers of acid reflux may wish to read up! The next you are experiencing an episode, try taking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.

Those of us who are partial to a bit of indigestion, try ACV with honey and warm water about half an hour before your meal this is especially important if you know you are going to be a heavy or rich meal.

10. Stop The Itch

For those who suffer in the summer thanks to the mosquitos , midges, gnats or actually any sort of bug. ACV helps with the side effects of having itchy skin. You can apply it directly to the itch, no need to water it down and just wait for the “aahhh” moment.
